Buses Reach the Motorcycle Lane along EDSA. What is the Yellow Lane for then?

Why did MMDA establish a blue motorcycle lane away from the yellow bus lane? To make motorcycle riders a safe distance away from these unruly buses. But most of the time, buses do not care. They only care about getting ahead of other buses to pick up passengers.

And bus companies complain why they are the target of the traffic enforcement agencies? It's because they are one of the major causes of traffic. Just look at the photo above. All lanes are occupied by buses except for the left most lane. What is the yellow lane for then? The Don Mariano Transit bus above is on the motorcycle lane already!

What if a bus is caught outside the yellow lane, MMDA will suspend the entire companies fleet for 30 days? This way, buses will be reduced along EDSA without banning bus companies that follow the rules. Like Manila, without undisciplined bus drivers, traffic will be reduced!

Pedicab (Kuliglig) Counter Flowing Padre Faura

pedicab "counterflowing" along Padre Faura St., a 1-way street by @MsCandid2
This photo was contributed to us via Twitter. You can see how the narrow street suffered and lost an entire lane which can supposedly fit 6 to 7 more cars until from what we can see because of two counter-flowing pedicabs aka kuligligs.

This is wrong in many angles.
1) They show that they have no respect for the law and it's like they can do whatever they want.
2) Double standards. If a car did this, it will also occupy almost the same space but when caught, they will be fined 2,000 pesos. Why then are they exempted?
3) They put the lives of their passengers in danger. I don't need to further explain why.

Passengers may also be at fault in this scenario as most people would rather ride on their most convenient location than walk so they are spoiled by these pedicabs. Passengers should be the one to help contribute by telling the pedicab drivers to follow the rules else passengers should go down. It's their safety that is at risk.

It also reminds me of another loony law here in the Philippines. No matter whose fault it is, the car is always wrong if versus a human. I don't agree with that. This is why people jay walk and cross dangerous highways (which also causes traffic slow down if it's not already slow at all or moving even) and in fact, this is also used as a modus operandi by other criminals. What they do is they  intently cross the street when a car is about to come that it can hit them and ask for money.
